The app is totally worth buying it. I use it with Lenovo Thinkpad T420 and Win7. Here, during studies this is my only way to view and edit photos with colorful Retina. :) Ipad mini 2 works just like additional monitor, with full range of resolutions. Great thanks for the author, incredible work.

MBAir 11" early 2014 + iPad Air = lags, unstable, low quality of image. High price for playing 5 minutes. For developers - no sense.

Motion on external display are to slow (if retina is set as an output resolution on ipad)

Developers are lying about zero latency, it’s actually about 50ms. So it’s uncomfortable to use, also I’ve tried to drag Google Chrome to iPad’s screen and got some serious problems with rendering, the image was unreadable.

Cool performance, but when I try to use iPad as third monitor screen start blinking, application freezes and do not want to connect until I reboot my Mac. Also iTunes fails to backup iOS devices.

Good performance and very stable. Thanks to developers for fast response and bugfixes.

This application is must-have for people, who use their Mac not only for entertainment. It can really greatly improve your productivity. Thanks a lot to developers. Absolutely no lag. Awesome. P.S. It’s really easy to use on Mac, but I havent tested it with Windows yet (and wont do it).

I dont use this app often but when I do Im grateful that it exists. It makes things much easier and a lot more fun. I highly recommend it for those of you who sometimes need a second screen but dont wish to buy another monitor.

i used this application in three different (single-screen and multi-screen) configurations. last version works stable, multi-screen setup works correct with touchscreen even with laptop with internal+external gpus. there are almost no delays when using ipad 4th gen. and pro in retina resolution. it is really useful when working with command and visualisation software on the same pc and is more than usual display - its elo in pocket. right click on ipad now works only with gestures, but not with pencil. the only one mark is image quality: its a little bit compressed. application have great future: improving pencil potencial and transfer its data to desktop applications. p.s. on the start on my multi-screen setup I had some troubles with drivers, but support team solved everything very quickly.

I have a PC Windows10 and an old iPad 3. At first I installed the app and it worked, but one day the program on the PC just stopped opening. I asked the tech support for help, and they solved my problem, thanks to them! They told to uninstall the program though control panel, reboot, install, reboot and launch the program. At the same time, the display on my old iPad is laggy, but sure the program gonna work faster on new models.

No lags, very stable. But please add multiple devices support.

This is a fabulous app and I tell people about it all the time! I use it when Im on the road so I have a second monitor while work in my hotel room and I use it at my standing desk in my dining room when I cant bear to be sitting in my office any more (but still need to work and have two monitors). Their customer service is amazing, too. Very helpful.

Traveling with two screens was not an option for me before, but Duet Display has changed that. It works so well, that I dont use it only for travel - I can set it up anywhere I want when Im sick of sitting at my desktop computer. I love being able to do that! If you have need for an additional screen for whatever you do, this app allows you to have that in a compact form, using an iPad or iPhone that you probably already have. I was actually not expecting it to work so well with my 2nd gen iPad, but since I still had it, I thought Id try it out and it works as well as it works on my friends brand new iPad. The process from download to install to using it was absolutely seamless. I dont write many app reviews, but this is such a useful app that I have to. I LOVE this app. Thanks to whoever invented this! Please make more great stuff!

Every time I connect my iPad Pro 9.7 to my apple laptop using this app, everything gets so slow its impossible to get anything done. I will try it out in a couple of months maybe they have a stable app, but at this moment 1 star is too nice.

Very fast and useful, I recommend to anyone! Im using with my Mac and iPad, just perfect.

The app is great does what its advertised to do. Although it doesnt seem well optimized beyond the default settings. Handful of crashes during each use for me its minimizing apps to the dock with the window on my iPad crashes the app and forces me to log out on my Mac. I suggest getting it for convenience when multitasking obviously this should not be your main display just something to watch videos on or put iTunes to the side. I will stick around it seems very promising as long as the devs care for this product I believe it will evolve into an even greater app.

After weeks of emailing tech support back and forth, they finally let me know that duet doesnt work with NVIDIA graphics cards. Wouldve been really nice to know BEFORE purchasing and wasting so much of my time trying to get it to work.

I’ve had the app for about a day. Using it for about four hours I’ve noticed that the app does slow the processing of my mac. I have used the app on my iPad for both displaying documents and streaming movies. When streaming movies there is an obvious lag. It will certainly do the trick for travel. The performance is not where I would hope, but it will do the trick.
